Dinky Toys 814 AML Panhard Armored Car

This Dinky Toys 814 AML Panhard Armored Car is a fine example of the military models of Dinky Toys France, produced between 1963 and 1971. The scale model is based on the AML (Auto Mitrailleuse Légère), a light armored reconnaissance vehicle developed by the French manufacturer Panhard in the early 1960s.

The real AML Panhard became famous for its excellent mobility and versatility. The vehicle was deployed by armies all over the world, with a wide range of roles – from reconnaissance and convoy protection to peacekeeping missions. Its compact design, strong armor and agile performance made it particularly popular in various conflict zones in Africa and the Middle East.

Dinky Toys released this military classic in 1:43 scale, with a robust metal construction, realistic suspension and a rotating gun turret. The model is recognizable by its realistic camouflage green color and the detailed design, including the two long antennas.

This particular example is in played with condition with light signs of use that attest to its playing history. Both antennas have been renewed to complete the model and restore its original appearance.
