Dinky Toys 51/001 Buick Riviera
or sale: Dinky Toys 51/001 Buick Riviera (1968) in very good condition, complete with the original box, although it is in poor condition and two flaps are missing. This Buick Riviera is part of a rare series of 6 American cars, produced by Dinky Toys in Hong Kong for the American market. However, the series was not a commercial success, so the remaining stock was eventually sold in Europe. This makes these models very rare and sought after by collectors today.
The Buick Riviera itself is in excellent condition, with a well-preserved paint job that has retained a nice shine. The paint has been applied evenly and there are hardly any signs of wear, which is exceptional for a model from this period. The chrome details, such as the bumpers, grille and hubcaps, are still in good condition and give the model an authentic, luxurious look.
The wheels turn smoothly and the suspension functions properly, as you would expect from a quality Dinky Toys model. The Buick Riviera has a sleek, powerful design typical of American cars of the era.
Although the original box is still present, it is in poor condition and is missing two flaps. Despite this damage, the box still offers protection and contributes to the collectibility of the model, given the rarity of this series.
