Rare and beautifully crafted scale model of the Ferrari Formula 1 racing car, released by Corgi Toys under model number 154, and produced between 1963 and 1972 in Great Britain. This model pays homage to the legendary Ferrari racing cars of the early 1960s, an era in which the Italian marque achieved great success in Formula 1.
The design of the model is based on the Ferrari 156 F1, the so-called “Sharknose”, with which Ferrari won the world championship in 1961 under the leadership of Enzo Ferrari. Corgi’s version of this iconic car combines an aerodynamic body model with fine details, such as the driver’s figure, authentic racing colours and sports rims with rubber tyres.
The Corgi 154 Ferrari F1 is part of an early generation of racing cars within the Corgi range and was loved for its realistic proportions and solid build quality. The working suspension and accurate finish were very advanced for their time and still appeal to the imagination today.
This example is in very good condition, with well-preserved paint, clear imprints and minimal signs of wear. The original Corgi box is also present, which makes the model extra valuable to the collector.
A beautiful piece of racing history in miniature form. This Corgi Ferrari Formula 1 is a nostalgic eye-catcher and a must-have for collectors of classic racing cars or lovers of Ferrari's rich motorsport history.
