The Dinky Toys 192 Desoto Fireflite is a classic model car produced by Dinky Toys between 1958 and 1963. This model is based on the DeSoto Fireflite, an American luxury car manufactured by DeSoto, a Chrysler brand, in the 1950s. The Fireflite was DeSoto's top-of-the-line model and was known for its striking, streamlined design and distinctive rear wings, which were typical of the flamboyant American cars of the time. The car combined a powerful V8 engine with a stylish interior and advanced technologies, making it a symbol of the optimism and luxury of post-war America.

The Dinky Toys 192 model was made to a scale of 1:43 and accurately reproduced the striking features of the real DeSoto Fireflite. The model often came in vibrant color combinations, including the green and tan shown here, and had beautiful chrome accents on the grille, bumpers and rims. The long, streamlined bodywork, complete with rear wings, was accurately reproduced, and the white rubber tires and rotating wheels added to the model’s realism and playability.
