The Siku 1060 Ferrari GTO is a scale model released by the German manufacturer Siku in the 1980s. The model is based on the iconic Ferrari 288 GTO, which was introduced in 1984 as a homologation model for Group B racing.
The Ferrari 288 GTO is often considered one of Ferrari's first true supercars. With its 2.9-liter V8 biturbo engine, it delivered over 400 hp and reached a top speed of over 300 km/h, making it one of the fastest road-legal cars of its time. Only 272 examples were built, making the 288 GTO an extremely rare and coveted classic to this day.
The model became particularly popular in the 1980s, when Ferraris symbolized speed, luxury, and success. For many children of that time, the Siku GTO was a dream car in miniature form.
This example is in lightly played-with condition, which is consistent with its age and playful character. Nevertheless, it remains an attractive collector's item, especially for fans of classic Siku models and iconic Ferraris. In 1/55 scale.
