Husky No 35 Ford Camper

Rare and attractive scale model of the Husky No. 35 Ford Camper, produced in the late 1960s by Husky Models, a subsidiary of the well-known British Corgi Toys. Unlike many European camper models, this version is based on an American Ford pick-up camper, a typical image of American camping life in the 1960s and 1970s. Made in Great Britain.

This miniature depicts a classic Ford F-Series pick-up equipped with a camper unit body – a popular recreational vehicle configuration in North America. These models symbolised the freedom of the open road and the emerging phenomenon of family holidays in the home country.

The Husky line offered affordable and detailed die-cast models in smaller scales (approximately 1:64), and this Ford Camper was one of the more striking and colourful vehicles in the range. The camper body is often finished in contrasting colours, with characteristic windows and a raised roof.
