Atlas Dinky Toys Peugeot D3a "B.B. Lorrain"
The Atlas Dinky Toys Peugeot D3A "B.B. Lorrain" is a rare reproduction of a classic van from the 1950s, used for advertising and distribution. Dinky Toys collectors already know the history of this legendary model in detail. In 1958, 100 units were produced, and another 100 in 1959, on the initiative of Mr. Roger GOULON, manager of the Lyon store "Au Bébé Lorrain", which he ran with his wife. On the store's letterhead, he introduced himself as "Agent régional du Club Dinky Toys, première section de France". The couple themselves attached the famous and coveted yellow tape to the sides of the van, with the words "Club Dinky-Toys, BB Lorrain, 8 rue du Platre, Lyon". This tape was also used to wrap parcels... The original Dinky Toys is a "Code 2", painted in the Bobigny factory and later decorated. But is very rare.
This specific Dinky Toys model with the "B.B. Lorrain" advertisement is sought after for its unique execution and scarcity.
This Atlas edition, in very good condition, comes with the original box, which is particularly rare in this version, making it a valuable and sought-after collector's item among Dinky Toys enthusiasts and collectors of historical advertisements.
