In 1959, Corgi Toys introduced one of its very first farm machines in the Major Toys series, the Massey-Ferguson Combine Harvester, number 1111. It was a model that impressed with its size, detail, and working functions. The miniature was based on the real Massey-Ferguson MF 780 combine harvester, which was used on farms around the world in the 1950s and 1960s. This combine was a symbol of agricultural modernization, as it made harvesting more efficient and faster than ever before.

The first production run of this Corgi model is recognizable by its metal driver's seat, a detail that was later replaced by a plastic version. This makes the early versions particularly rare and sought-after by collectors. Corgi equipped the combine harvester with various play features, such as rotating cutter bars that could be raised and lowered by turning the wheel—groundbreaking features for their time and which earned Corgi international acclaim.

This example is in very good and fully functional condition and comes with its original 1959 packaging, also in very good condition. Considering its age of over sixty years, this is exceptional and significantly increases its collector's value.

The Corgi Major Toys 1111 Massey-Ferguson Combine Harvester (1st production) is therefore not only an icon of Corgi's pioneering work in agricultural miniatures but also a tangible piece of agricultural and toy history.
