Tekno 445 Scania "Vabis" Brandweer

The Tekno 445 fire truck is one of the most beloved classic models produced by the Danish brand Tekno in the 1960s and 1970s. Tekno was known at the time for its exceptional quality and attention to detail, and was known for producing exceptionally realistic miniature versions of utility vehicles such as fire trucks.

This model is based on the Scania-Vabis, a powerful and reliable truck that was frequently used in Scandinavia and beyond as the basis for fire engines. The design of the Tekno 445 reflects the robustness of the real truck, with a detailed cab, a long extending ladder, and a hose reel at the rear. This example is in very good condition. The mechanism for raising the ladder still functions perfectly, as if it were new. Extending the ladder is a little less smooth, but its function is retained. The original hose reel is included, a detail often missing from played-with examples.
