Corgi Toys 112 Rice's Beaufort Double Horse Box

A rare, complete, and well-preserved example of the Corgi Toys No. 112 Rice’s Beaufort Double Horse Box, produced by Corgi Toys in Great Britain between 1969 and 1972. This charming model is in excellent condition, including the original box and both original horses, a combination that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in this condition.

The Rice’s Beaufort Horse Box was based on a genuine British horsebox, known for its solid construction and use at shows, riding schools, and in professional equestrian sports. Corgi Toys released this miniature version in 1969 as part of their Farm and Animal series, which was designed to realistically recreate rural life.

The model is beautifully detailed, with a working tailgate serving as a loading platform, functioning doors, and a realistic body. The trailer is designed to a scale of approximately 1:43 and fits perfectly behind various Corgi tractors and Land Rovers from the same period.

This example is in excellent condition: the paint is fresh, the parts are complete, and the wheels function well. The two original plastic horses are also in very good condition, with undamaged details and original coloring. The original box shows bright colors, solid construction, and minimal wear—rare for an item that was often played with intensively.
