Corgi Toys 343 Ford Capri MKII 3.0S

Classic scale model of the Ford Capri MkII 3.0S, released by Corgi Toys under model number 343 in the late 1970s. This model captures the sporting character of the Capri MkII, a car known at the time as "the European Mustang" and loved for its stylish lines and powerful performance.

The real Ford Capri MkII 3.0S, produced from 1974, was equipped with a 3.0-litre V6 engine and was known as a sporty coupé with comfortable driving characteristics – popular with a wide audience in Europe and particularly in the UK. Corgi has managed to convincingly capture this car in miniature, complete with realistic proportions, working suspension and a detailed interior.

This example of the Corgi 343 is in lightly played with condition, with obvious paint damage to the left front, but still retains its original charm and recognisable design. Despite the signs of use, most details are clearly visible and the model is still an attractive item for collectors of classic Corgi models and lovers of vintage Fords. Made in Great Britain in 1/36 scale.

A model with character that has clearly stood the test of time, but still makes a fine addition to a collection of classic die-cast vehicles. Ideal for the Capri enthusiast or Corgi Toys collector.
