Rare scale model car of the iconic DAF 44 in rally livery, produced by Lion Car in honor of the participation of the Dutch team in the legendary London–Sydney Marathon of 1993. This model is a tribute to one of the most challenging long-distance rallies in the world, covering thousands of kilometers over rough terrain from Europe to Australia.

The DAF 44, known for its unique Variomatic transmission and Dutch reliability, was driven in this edition by an enthusiastic team that underlined the robustness of the classic DAF. Despite its modest size and power, the DAF 44 proved itself to be a reliable and surprisingly capable rally car.
