Corgi Toys 271 De Tomaso Magusta Ghia 5000

The Corgi Toys 271 De Tomaso Mangusta Ghia 5000 was produced in 1969 by the British Corgi Toys and is a miniature version of the De Tomaso Mangusta, an exclusive sports car designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro for Carrozzeria Ghia. The Mangusta, meaning ‘mongoose’, was named as a challenge to the Shelby Cobra and was known for its powerful Ford V8 engine and unique gull-wing rear doors.

This Corgi model is a true collector’s item with striking details such as the two-tone paint finish, working suspension, a detailed interior and a removable chassis. The original version also had a fragile antenna, which has been carefully replaced in this example.
